One style of antique iron bed that seems the most adaptable to any setting or style , is the “Art Panel” iron bed. As you may know the panels on these iron beds originally had floral stencils and decals and even occasionally hand painted art work. But unfortunately time has not always been kind to these very special rare iron beds. People without an appreciation of how unique the art work was, would paint right over it. Many people today could care less about the beautiful art work that once adorned the unique metal panels. Panel iron beds seem to be adaptable to nearly any style of decor.In these two photo’s, you’ll see two very similar iron beds that have been used in entirely different settings and decor……..yet both look great.
